Survey of dioxins in soil (FY2007)
Last update date December 12, 2023
This page is a document describing the results of the survey on dioxin concentrations in soil conducted in 2007 (2007).
Purpose of the survey
Yokohama City has been conducting surveys on dioxins in soil since 1998, but in 2007, the entire city was divided into 10 districts, selected one point from each district and conducted a survey. We will inform you that the survey results have been compiled.
Survey points and methods
The survey points were selected for parks with bare land of a certain area suitable for sampling, and were collected and analyzed in accordance with the "Soil Survey and Measure Manual for Dioxins (Environment Agency: January 2000)" .
Date of investigation
From January 24, 2008 to February 15, 2008
Survey results
- The concentration of dioxins in soil at 10 locations in the city ranged from a minimum of 0.0016 pg-TEQ / g to a maximum of 65 pg-TEQ / g, and the average was 8.2 pg-TEQ / g. The results of this survey met the environmental standard of 1,000 pg-TEQ / g for soil at all locations.
