We abolished "Yokohama-shi child book-reading activity promotion plan" (the second) by "Yokohama citizen book-reading activity promotion plan" having been devised in March, 2014.

Promotion of child book-reading activities
We learn words and polish sensitivity and raise power of expression and creativity, and reading makes intelligence and sensitivity rich and is thing necessary for child to wear "power to live" that cannot lack in the life to live more deeply. In Yokohama-shi, we devised directionality of measure about promotion of book-reading activities of future child and "Yokohama-shi child book-reading activity promotion plan" (the second) indicating approach in March, 2011. We will work on promotion, environment maintenance of book-reading activities appropriate for international city Yokohama that raises "entrenchment of reading custom to bring up power that child lives for and improvement of reading will" with promotion aim by the second plan, and accepted area characteristic of Yokohama.
