Aiming to realize a society in which diverse ways of life are respected

  1. Background
    Shows the direction of lifelong learning promotion based on social changes after the "Yokohama City Lifelong Learning Basic Design"
  2. Purpose
    (1)View the Direction of Lifelong Learning in Yokohama
    (2)Organize the way of lifelong learning support in the government
  3. Positioning
    (1)Intermediate between the basic concept and action plan
    (2)Showing the direction of administrative measures promotion (it does not directly stipulate activities related to lifelong learning of companies and private organizations)

Current status and issues of lifelong learning in Yokohama City

  1. Expanding citizens' learning activities
    ⇒From "individual" and "passive" to "friendship type" and "independent"
  2. Providing learning opportunities by various entities
    ⇒Provision is being made by private businesses, universities, civil society organizations, etc.
  3. Status of Lifelong Learning Support Measures
    ⇒Supporting citizens' independent learning and activities through field development, support projects, and human resource development

    (1)A society where people can draw dreams and visions of life
    (2)A society in which the results of efforts to tackle issues bear fruit.
    (3)A society in which the experience, knowledge, and abilities we have cultivated can be demonstrated.
    (4)A society full of "symbiosis" in which socially vulnerable people are respected
    (5)A society in which we value connections between humans and support each other.

    ⇒Learning support for individuals to independently draw life design

To promote lifelong learning in a new era (guidelines for promotion)

  1. We strive to provide detailed learning opportunities for citizens.
    In order to support citizens' independent problem solving and self-realization, we will strive to provide learning opportunities and places for experiences based on the provision of learning opportunities by various actors and in cooperation with those actors.

    Enhanced a system to provide career learning according to a wide range of age groups and situations, Rika Lent learning, entrepreneurship, etc.
  2. Utilize schools as local learning bases.
    In addition to utilizing school facilities and teachers' knowledge and skills, we will create a two-way support system in which local residents, such as school support volunteers, to foster students in elementary school student.

  3. We will create a support system for raising children in the community.

    Maintenance of "Lifelong Learning Information Portal Site" that allows you to search for various lifelong learning information such as facilities, human resources, courses, and activity subsidies, in collaboration with citizens.
  5. We will promote the creation of leaders who support local learning.
    We will examine coordinator training to utilize the experience and abilities of citizens, such as baby boomers, in solving local issues, and the creation of a mechanism for evaluation and intermediate support for learning outcomes.

    Promote networking in which various actors cooperate to provide learning opportunities and support activities to solve problems at home and local communities.
