Person living in Kawasaki-shi, Yokosuka-shi, Kamakura-shi, Fujisawa-shi, Yamato-shi can make library card of the wide area use. Please show document which can identify Address in library window.

It is five years on registration expiration date of library card. Every five years, we confirm registration contents.

A

You visit Yokohama City Library, and please show document (driver's license, health insurance card, student identification card) which being "Yokohama City application form for a library card" and the person and current Address can confirm.
We issue temporary library card. (when we hear from on the telephone, I would like submission of "application form for a library card" later.)

When lost library card is not found, we reissue in exchange for temporary library card after two weeks.

When we lose temporary library card, procedure is necessary. You have document (driver's license, health insurance card, student identification card) which being the person and current Address can confirm, and come to library window.

※About library service during use of temporary library card

Rental of book is available like normal library card, but service that input of "password" is necessary for homepage and search machine for person of in-hotel use is not available.
※It is measures to prevent abuse of library card by third party.

Library card is Yokohama City Library 18 building and common card of bookmobile "Hamakaze".

As you cannot use in district center library room and other facilities including Pref.Library, please be careful.

In City Library, we do not store rental record from the viewpoint of privacy protection. We cross rental record when book was returned. We hope that we have rental record be inferior by yourself as needed.
In addition, we can download data of document during rental after the login from page of the use situation in online catalog page. We can save these data as electronic edition reading resume. ※Registration of password is necessary beforehand.

About book which we do not finish reading even if it is deadline for return

After loaning on the Internet on day when we borrowed book, and extending, and going through the procedure, return day was not extended. Can we not borrow from original return day more for two weeks?

When we go through the procedure before deadline for return, rental period is extended for two weeks from day when we went through the procedure. As it is not extended two weeks from return day, please be careful.

After loaning on the Internet after it was past return day, and extending, and going through the procedure, it was in the extension days that were shorter than two weeks. Can you not extend for two weeks from day when you loan and extend and went through the procedure?

When we go through the procedure after it was past deadline for return, only for the days that attracted the days that we exceeded from two weeks, we can extend rental period. (when we are late more than two weeks, we cannot extend.)

We can return.
Near entrance of each City Library, we install "book book return box". At the time of closing of library, please return only book to "book book return box". (during the year-end and New Year closing, it is not usable). As a general rule, book which had book return box turn over processes return in a mass in morning of opening, the following day day. Please be careful until we return and are handled as you remain loaning.

3.We make unwanted e-mail measures (domain-designated reception, reception permission).

※Precaution when reservation communication email does not arrive
From mobile phone carrier or provider company, reservation communication email does not arrive in address ignorance and when the email does not come back to library again, we judge when reservation communication email reaches library information system and process cancellation of reservation document in one week from day when we sent email. Please confirm whether email arrives from yokohama-library@lib.city.yokohama.lg.jp by all means.
