How to confirm the expiration date of the digital certificate

Final update date September 14, 2020

Expiration date

The expiration date of the digital certificate is from the date of issuance to the fifth birthday or the expiration date of the My Number Card, whichever comes first.
If you do not enter the expiration date column of the digital certificate on the front of your My Number Card, or if it has been rubbed and cannot be seen, please use one of the following methods.

How to check a copy of a digital certificate

When we issue digital certificate at the municipal office, we issue a copy of the digital certificate to those who wish.
The Address, name and expiration date recorded on the digital certificate are listed, so first check if you have a copy of the digital certificate.

How to check at the ward office window

If you have not received or lost a copy of your digital certificate, you can receive a copy of your digital certificate again.
Please bring your My Number Card and come to Family Registry DivisionRegistration Section where you live after having my number card.

How to check from a PC or smartphone

You can also check from your home computer or smartphone using an application called user client software.

※An IC card reader / writer is required to check from a personal computer.

For details on how to download and use user client software, check the IC card reader / writer / smartphone compatible with My Number Card, etc., see the public personal authentication portal site (outside site). In addition, since it is necessary to enter a PIN, if you have locked your PIN or you are no longer sure, please bring your My Number Card and come to Family Registry Division's card if you have locked your PIN or lost yourRegistration Section window.
