Resetting PIN
If you have forgotten the PIN set on your My Number Card or have entered your PIN three times in a row (five times for the digital certificate for signature) (locked), reset your PIN Is required.
Reception desk
The procedure for resetting your PIN is accepted at your ward office in Family Registry Division.
※It cannot be reset with user client software (public personal authentication service via the Internet).
When the person does the procedure
What you need
- My number card
When legal representative does the procedure (if you have a locked My Number card that you have forgotten your PIN, you are under 15 years old, if you are an adult ward)

- One identification document such as a driver's license and qualification with a face photo issued by a public office in legal representative's
- Documents confirming proxy rights

When an Optional proxy/agent
After receiving the application, we will mail the document to the person who will reset the PIN and confirm the new PIN (document inquiry).
Please note that the procedure will not be completed on the day of application. For more information, please contact our ward office Family Registry Division, please.
