Procedure of reinterment (movement of ashes)

Summary

"Reinterment" already means that we move stored ashes to other graveyards, charnels reserve.
Procedure according to rule of "law (haka*ho) about graveyard, burial" is necessary for reinterment.

Main procedure and flow

We explain case that reinterment performs of ashes from reserve, stored graveyard to new graveyards for example now.

1. It is decided *, graveyard to store newly

We purchase graveyard newly and decide reinterment point.

2. Receipt of acquisition and "reserve proof" of "reinterment permission application"

(1)Acquisition of "reinterment permission application"

Application of reinterment permission becomes the municipalities government office with current graveyards.
As style may vary according to each municipality as for the reinterment permission application, please be careful.
Please refer to the municipalities government office with current graveyards for acquisition method.

Style of Yokohama-shi, please confirm "style of Yokohama-shi".

(2) It is receipt of "reserve proof" from managers such as current graveyards

Manager of graveyard usually proves reserve proof in predetermined column of reinterment permission application. (we do not mind even style that graveyard manager establishes.)

Careful
  • "Use of graveyard authorization" may be necessary to confirm user of current graveyard.
  • When applicant is different from graveyard user, proxy or written consent which graveyard user made may be necessary.
  • Fee may be needed for issuance of reserve proof. Please confirm to graveyard manager.

3. Receipt of application and "reinterment permit" of reinterment permission

You submit reinterment permission application to Family Registry Section window of the municipalities government office with current graveyards, and please receive "reinterment permit".

Entry of reinterment permission application

  • Full name, permanent domicile, Address, sex of the deceased who is going to do reinterment, the death date, the date of burial or cremation and place
  • Graveyard, charnel name of reinterment point and the location, reason of reinterment
  • Full name, Address of applicant, relation with the deceased, relations with graveyard user

Thing necessary for procedure

  • Reinterment permission application (including "reserve proof")
  • Proxy of graveyard user or written consent
  • Seal of applicant may be necessary.
Careful

Proxy of graveyard user including case that is different from graveyard user in applicant or written consent may be necessary.
Please confirm to the municipalities government office concerned.

4. Takeoff of ashes

We show reinterment permit to managers such as current graveyards and take out ashes.
(we do not hand reinterment permit on this occasion. Necessary in new graveyard.)

5. *, store to new graveyards

We submit reinterment permit to managers such as new graveyards, and * can store ashes.
(style) that ※ "use of graveyard authorization" and "report of burial" of new graveyard (manager establishes may be necessary. Please confirm to manager of new graveyard beforehand.)

Important thing except procedure

It is general procedure to have explained here.
In addition, about rules by graveyard manager including limit of manners and customs and gravestone by area, you should check area and graveyard manager that ashes are buried and manager of new graveyard and local information beforehand.
In addition, it is necessary for talks to be done among relatives before beginning procedure.
