We are careful about fires of old electric fan

Under the influence of the Great East Japan Earthquake, there is concern about electricity being short for summer, and it is expected that use of electric fan increases as power saving measures.

On the other hand, accident caused by electric fan occurs 157 in the whole country in five years from 2005 to 2009, and, by tune of incorporated administrative agency, National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE), 47 fires occur soon. In addition, accident of thing that period of service passes in ten years occurs 74 of 157.

When we use old electric fan as accidents such as fires may occur for aged deterioration, let's warn enough. In addition, attention is particularly necessary in coming season as accident of electric fan centers from July through August and tends to occur.

• Power supply cord bends and is damaged.

• Fan turns around and stops power supply cord when we touch.

• Fan does not turn around even if we switch on.

• There is smell of fever and getting burnt of motor part.

• When there are time when turn of feather is irregular and abnormal sound, vibration.
