With the enforcement of the house indication in 1977, it is a town newly established from each part of Sasashita-cho, Morigaoka 2-chome, Isogo-ku, Tanakacho, Morimachi.
In the old days, it was called Sasa Shimomura, Kuraki-gun (meaning Zoiro Village, Matsumoto Village, Sekimura Shimogo Mimura), and when the municipal system was enforced in 1889, Hino Village, Yabe Nomura, Tanaka Village, Kuriki Village, Kaminakasato Village, Minemura Shimoshita, and Kooritori Sawamura in 19 years.
There is a theory that "Sasaki" was used as a place name, and this later changed from "Sasaki Village" to "Sasa Shimomura". Hiroyoshi Takeuchi gave the place name of "Shinoshita" when Mamiya built a castle here (Shino Shimojo), the birthplace of his ancestors, Omikuni Shinotake, to this area. It is said that this became "Sasashita" because of the place name. It is said that the first place name of Sasashita is that the bell of the casting bell of Tofuku-ji Temple in Sasa-Shimogo-chome is called "Sasashita Shikimura".
Sasa Shimokawa (Ookagawa) flows through the center, and Sasashita Kamariya Road passes through.
