Comment by Mayor Fumiko Hayashi

In order to stop the spread of infection, it is of paramount importance that each and every person take thorough measures against infectious diseases without loosening their minds and suppress the occurrence of new infections.
I would like to ask the citizens again. In order to reduce the chances of contact with people as much as possible, please refrain from going out except when necessary for your life, especially refrain from going out after 20:00. Please avoid "five scenes" that increase the risk of infection, such as social gatherings involving drinking, eating and drinking for a large number of people and long hours of eating, talking without masks, communal living in a small space, entering a rest room, smoking area, or changing room. Thorough basic infection prevention measures, such as indoor ventilation, avoiding 3 C dense, hand washing and disinfecting, and wearing a mask.
I would like to ask all of you. Please cooperate with the matters required by national and prefectural policies, such as short-time business until 20:00 and restrictions on holding events. Please refer to the industry-specific guidelines and take thorough infection prevention measures. Aiming to reduce the number of employees to work by 70%, please take measures to prevent congestion during commuting and working, such as telework, rotation work, staggered work, and decentralization of lunch time.
Yokohama City will continue to work with national, prefectural and medical institutions to protect the lives and lives of citizens. Let's work together to overcome this situation so that we can reach the day of the emergency declaration as soon as possible and regain our daily lives. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
