We reach 100 years after Yokohama-shi acquired forest at the head of a river in Doshi-mura in 2016.
This year becoming the 100th-year knot has citizen's know importance of splendor, water source and water of Doshimura that is Yokohama citizen hometown village so that it is at "year of leap for both Ichimura development" and further promotes friendship interchange that we brought up until now.
Yokohama-shi and Doshi-mura are linked in firm bond through water since Yokohama-shi began water intake with the Doshi River in 1897 (Meiji 30).
About 36% of Doshi-mura are forests at the head of a river of Yokohama-shi. Yokohama-shi purchased most of these forests at the head of a river from Yamanashi in 1916 (Taisho 5).
By many citizen's all of you, cooperation of company, we perform various activities (※ 2) for forest at the head of a river maintenance now.
We fix "agreement about mutual support at the time of disaster" by "agreement about friendship, interchange of Yokohama-shi and Doshi-mura" in 2014 in 2004 and deepen friendship interchange.
