On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, the 12th Izumi Sagami Kite Flying Party will be held in a rice field near Tenno Moriizumi Park. Sagami Kite is a traditional culture that is said to have 400 years of history in Izumi Ward, praying for the healthy growth of children and the rich harvest of five grains. Along with the kite flying party, kites will be exhibited in the ward hall on the first floor of the Izumi Ward government office. (April 26-30)
