It is estimated that one in 11 Japanese women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
In particular, more than 40% of women diagnosed with cancer in one year between the ages of 20 and 59 have breast cancer. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the breast cancer treatment system in the city so that treatment can be performed at a nearby medical institution.
Yokohama City has designated hospitals with a track record of breast cancer treatment in the city as "Yokohama City Breast Cancer Cooperation Hospital" since 2017.
Yokohama Municipal Citizen's Hospital has been newly designated, with Yokohama City Breast Cancer Hospitals.
