Water supply area and usage status

Industrial water supply is supplied to Tsurumi Ward, Kanagawa Ward, Nishi Ward, Naka Ward, Hodogaya Ward, Asahi Ward, Isogo Ward, Totsuka Ward, and Sakae Ward with industrial water supply facilities.

Yokohama City currently supplies industrial water to about 60 factories as water essentially essential for industrial activities such as factories.
Looking at usage status (contracted water volume) in the main industries, the petroleum product manufacturing industry is the largest, followed by the chemical industry, food and beverage manufacturing, steel industry, etc. It is used for cooling water, boiler water, product processing water, and cleaning water.

Industrial water is intended to be used for industrial use, but if there is enough water supply capacity, a certain amount can be supplied to non-industrial use, and the sound development of public facilities and industries Water can be supplied to facilities that meet certain requirements, such as facilities that contribute to development.
In March 1999, Yokohama City began supplying miscellaneous water in line with the opening of the Yokohama Zoo ZOORASIA. Currently, industrial water is used for cleaning water in the wholesale market and toilet water.
