About transfer to hospital

Transfer hospital transport means that a patient once housed in a medical institution needs to be urgently transported to another medical institution, such as sudden deterioration of symptoms or requiring more specialized treatment at the medical institution. Ambulances will participate at the request of the medical institution.
For non-urgent transfer, please use an ambulance, taxi or a private patient transport vehicle owned by a medical institution.

Requirements for transfer to hospital

  1. Emergency action is required
  2. Difficulty treatment at the contracted medical institution
  3. Inability to use transportation methods other than ambulances of fire engines

For doctors and those who work for medical institutions

For requests that do not meet the requirements for transfer, transfer hospital transport by ambulance of the fire department is refused. Please use an ambulance, taxi or a private patient transport vehicle owned by a medical institution.

About the specific flow of transfer hospital

1 Make sure that all of the criteria for transfer of hospital transfer are met.
2. Please confirm the acceptance of the destination medical institution. If the destination medical institution is not determined.

3 When it is confirmed that the destination medical institution is secured or that a doctor is on board, create a transfer request form and send it to the Fire Command Center.
 After sending the fax (in principle), please make a transfer request by calling 119.
  The fax number of the Fire Command Center is 119.
4 After receiving the 119th request at the Fire Command Center, a rescue squad near the contracted medical institution will participate.
5 Please prepare in advance (moving from bed, waiting near the entrance, etc.) before arriving at the ambulance.
6 When an ambulance arrives at the contracted medical institution, hand over the transfer request form to the rescue worker.
7 A doctor or nurse should ride an ambulance with the patient, and manage the condition of the patient being transported.
 If there are unavoidable circumstances and doctors cannot be on board, transporting to patients and families only by emergency services
 In addition to explaining, please send necessary information to rescue workers.
8 If the condition suddenly changes to a serious condition (cardiopulmonary arrest, etc.) during transportation, emergency rescue workers are located in Yokohama, where emergency rescue workers are located at the Fire Command Center.
 Ask the lifesaving instructor for instructions, and under the direction of the critical care physician, the destination medical institution will be sent to the nearest critical care center, etc.
 It is subject to change.
9 If a doctor or nurse rides in an ambulance, it is possible to return to the hospital with an ambulance from the viewpoint of securing a regional emergency medical system.
 You can do it. Until you return to the hospital, it will be a normal run instead of an emergency. In addition, if there is an emergency entry order on the way home, there is an emergency order.
 You will ride to the emergency site or get off on the spot. In addition, handovers at transport medical institutions should be carried out promptly.
 Please cooperate with the smooth implementation of emergency services.
