Sewer private use permission

What is sewer private use?
Only when a specific person is unavoidable for the sewerage site for socio-economic reasons, it is to set up properties on the site and use it continuously.
In that case, permission from the sewer administrator is required. In addition, there are permission conditions according to each property, and you will be required to pay a private use fee depending on the type and size of the property to be occupied.
Major private properties
- Aisle bridge
- Electric pole wires
- Water supply, gas, etc.
For private use permission
- Do not reduce the current river area by private use in crossings.
- Do not make bridge girders directly on sewer facilities.
There are various conditions.
What is the amount of private use charges
- It is stipulated in the Yokohama City Sewerage Ordinance.
- Please contact Public Works Office for details.
What is the procedure for private use?
Please submit the following documents to the relevant Public Works Office.
- Sewer private use permission application
- Location map (floor plan, cross-section, property details, public-private boundary map, quadrature map, etc.)
When permission is granted
- As you issue sewer private use permission, delivery letter of advice, please pay private use charges in financial institutions such as banks.
- Private use period is up to 5 years. An application is required to renew the period.
Changes and abolition
Please submit the following documents to the relevant Public Works Office.
- If a change occurs, you need to apply for a change.
- When it is abolished, a notification of abolition is required.
