Nutrition management in soup-kitchen

Classification of soup-kitchen

Specific soup-kitchen
Facility (Health Promotion Act) which supplies more than 100 meals of once or meals more than 250 meals a day
Small soup-kitchen
Facility (the Yokohama-shi regulations) which supplies more than 50 meals of once or meals more than 100 meals a day
Other soup-kitchens
Less than 50 meals of once and soup-kitchen of less than 100 meals of 1st

In the small soup-kitchen, following "reports" "presentation of nutrition management report" becomes duty specific soup-kitchen. We have no obligation of report, report, but, about other soup-kitchens, Health and Welfare Center may grasp the situation such as number of the meals changes. In addition, please talk about any questions with Health and Welfare Center.

Duty of 2 reports

Installer of small soup-kitchen needs presentation of registration form decided by official regulations of Health Promotion Act, the Yokohama-shi regulations specific soup-kitchen.

  • When we reopen start or school lunch which stopped in "school lunch start registration form" (second style) ... school lunch
  • When change occurs in "school lunch change registration form" (third style) ... report matter
  • When we stop "school lunch abolition (stop) registration form" (fourth style) ... school lunch (almost more than three months) or we abolish

In addition, report varies in style every facility classification. We send out report paper to each facility from each ward Health and Welfare Center every year. Soup-kitchen instruction by 4 nutrition instructors

By Health Promotion Act, the staff of Health and Welfare Center having qualification of doctor or administrative dietitian receives appointment of the Mayor of Yokohama, and nutrition instructor performs on-the-spot survey, instruction or workshop.

Nutrition instructor goes to facility and investigates whether conduct of appropriate nutrition management is secured and instructs as needed.

Workshop

In Yokohama-shi, we carry out workshop for the purpose of offer of latest nutrition information and information exchange targeting at administrative dietitian, dietician, managers of soup-kitchen. I send information for training to each facility from each ward Health and Welfare Center.
